We all have a unique story. Below is a window into mine.
I am deeply in awe of the potential of human beings.
It’s an awe that I've held from a young age; often without even knowing it. In my early years it showed up as awe for my father as he tirelessly pursued thoughtful activism for global humanitarian crises, and for my mother as she masterfully created an environment for our family to thrive.
Later, it showed up as the impetus for a career in Engineering to solve pressing societal challenges. I spent a bulk of that time with the national management team at Engineers Without Borders; Canada's fastest growing international development organization at the time. I began moving deeper into the space of organizational development and culture transformation.
Blessed with mentors and coaches along my career, I swiftly moved upward into senior roles. I received a few notable recognitions along the way; I was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network, received the Honours Medal for Outstanding Leadership from Carleton University and awarded the YWCA Women of Distinction Award by the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA.
In a defining moment of my career I took a sabbatical to research, study and journey within Eastern parts of the world. This resulted in an extraordinary complement to my then mainly Western-centric approach to leadership and psychology. This proved to be a step that deeply shaped and harmonized my life and work.
And now, as the founder of DropOcean, and particularly in the role of leadership coach, this sense of awe has landed in a place with the most alignment and felt-sense. I am a seasoned coach and skilled facilitator who draws from the fields of developmental psychology, complexity theory, leadership, mindfulness, somatics, and interpersonal neurobiology. I support individuals and teams in aligning with their unique talents, able to deliver what’s needed in the world, and to do it well.
I uphold a core promise to each client; to develop an authentic partnership with respect, compassion and mutual accountability.
I invite you to explore a future partnership.
